Sound Healing for Animals
Here at Sound and Waves we more than love our furry family and, for this reason, a lot of time, training and care has been put into how we help your pets and animals. In my family we have Saffronne the French rescue cat, Molly cat, Daisy cat, Flossie the mare, Ralph the working cocker spaniel and Reggie the Sprocker. Tuning Fork sound healing has been used on most of our pets, and we saw a real turnaround in Flossie and Reggie after their healing sessions.
Tuning forks provide a non-invasive vibrational therapy which animals find calming and relaxing. When an animal is unwell physically, mentally or emotionally, finding a treatment that can help to de-stress and provide relief, with as little trauma as possible, is essential.
Areas that can be treated with Sound Healing include:
-
- Injury (new and old)
- Nervousness
- Running away
- Fear of noise
- Attacking
- Not eating
- Separation anxiety
- Mental problems
- Wounds
- New home/moving/stables/cattery/kennels
Numerous other health issues can be treated with sound healing, and we are happy to talk to you about any concerns you may have for your beloved pet.
For some animals with serious long-term conditions, medication isn’t always possible, but sound healing is a safe therapy which provides relief and relaxation.
Sessions cost £25 per hour
How Tuning Forks work with Animals
Sound healing works with the animals’ chakras and vibrational energy.
Animals react quite quickly to tuning forks and, if able, will sniff and inhale the energy from the tip of the fork.
Tuning forks come in a wide range of frequencies, with each vibrating at a different hertz. Sound healers choose to use a specific tuning fork, based on their intended therapeutic effects such as relaxation, energy balancing, or pain relief.
Animals have 8 major chakras, 21 minor chakras and 6 bud chakras. Animals also have a unique chakra, called the Brachial chakra, based on either side of the body by the shoulders.
Tuning forks can be placed on specific points of the animal’s body, similar to acupuncture or acupressure points, to target areas of tension or discomfort. Alternatively, the tuning fork may be held a few inches away from the animal’s body to create a broader field of resonance.
Vibrations created by the tuning fork affects the animals’ chakras and Qi (vibrational energy,) causing them to change. Depending on what tuning fork is being used, the change will relate to the ailment/condition of the animal.
Tuning fork therapy for animals can also be integrated with other healing modalities, such as massage, Reiki, or aromatherapy, to enhance the overall therapeutic effect and promote holistic healing, and again we would be happy to talk to you about what else is available to help your pet.
During, and beyond my Sound Healing training, I have used tuning forks to treat cats, dogs and horses, all who had a range of symptoms including physical and emotional. As non-invasive and touch free, tuning fork healing can be given to the sickest and most physically damaged animals.
Sound Healing should not be used as a substitute for professional veterinary care.
End of Life Care and Support
Caring for a much loved pet during a life threatening illness can be daunting and distressing. Gentle tuning forks can help to ease the pain and trauma for your pet, bringing them peace and relaxation.
Sadly, some of our beautiful pets will pass over the rainbow and, when they do, we want it to be as peaceful and reassuring for them as possible, and this is something we can help with. The sound and vibration of the “OM” tuning fork is considered sacred, and playing this fork during the end-of-life process, can help facilitate a sense of spiritual connection, and provide comfort to both the animal transitioning and their loved ones.
End of life care sessions are £25 per hour

Pet Memorials
One of the things that we hope to provide at Sound and Waves, especially for our beloved pets, is seamless and comforting end-of-life care while celebrating everything remarkable and unique about them.
As a Celebrant, Sally can work with you to provide a fitting memorial for your pet. Whether it’s somewhere close to home, a burial or scattering of ashes in a loved location, we can support you through this. Please let Sally know if this is something you’d like to explore.
Pet Bereavement Counselling
Grieving for a beloved pet is natural and healthy. Our beloved pets mean so much to us, as much as our human friends and family sometimes! But it can be difficult for us to share our grieving for fear of appearing to be overreacting or overemotional.
In private, we can feel a sense of isolation and loneliness that can feel overwhelming. But, without releasing our grief, the feelings can manifest and, in time, may make us feel unwell.
As a qualified Pet Bereavement Counsellor and Sound Healer, Sally can help you through the grieving process, enabling you to begin remembering your furry (or feathered) friend in a positive and joyful way.
Please let us know if you would like to talk through the counselling process.
All of our work is treated in the strictest confidence and adheres to the code of conduct through the Centre of Excellence and British Medical Association.
To book a session, contact Sally and she can talk the options through with you, as everyone’s needs and requirements are unique.
£35 per hour – in person or remotely.
